NASHVILLE Bound!

Posted on Apr 3rd, 2008 by Sanieh : Lover of the Shakti Sanieh
Although Austin is now very much my HOME, I am thrilled to be flying out tomorrow evening where I will be reconnecting and teaching a weekend workshop at Nashville's longest standing studio, Yoga Source - www.yogasource.info

This will be a short trip but I plan on it being a very potent one for everyone involved :) 10 hours of class time packed into a Saturday and Sunday- my hope is that we will all walk away fuller in spirit, love, and connection to the thread of higher consciousness that runs through the heart of the practice and sacred teachings that is Yoga.

I will be back late Monday night and will plan to post a longer blog next week as means to reconnect with everyone at that time...

Until then- may we all undeniably move closer into our truth even if that means stepping into difficulty in order to claim our best lives! Dare to claim it all...

In Light,
Sanieh

Back in Austin, the Beautiful

Posted on Apr 11th, 2008 by Sanieh : Lover of the Shakti Sanieh

If you have emailed me in reference to classes, private lessons, or programs and have not heard back, know that I am playing a little bit of catch up this week since returning from Nashville! I have not forgotten about you!

My weekend in Nashville was nothing less than what I thought it would be and so much more than what I imagined.

I arrived late Friday evening to a few familiar faces at the airport; both expected and unexpected! I was thrilled and prepared to go into a FULL BLAST journey of a weekend that would end up being just under 10 hours of potent liquid goodness that is yoga... but the night was young!

We stayed up late that Friday night, had a musical jam session in the hotel room, and laughed something fierce.

I could not have prepared myself for the ride that I was about to get on with those who would ride the wave beside me. We sweat, we inverted, we danced, we balanced, we laughed, we cried, we sweat some more, we confided in each other, we made new friends, we laughed harder, we rocked / played/ sang music Bhakti style (thanks, Daniel!), and we sweat! It was fabulous!

I offer my humble thanks to one of the most kind, generous, and spirited people I am proud to know; my friend Mike, the new owner of Yoga Source of Nashville, TN (http://www.yogasource.info/)  - the most blessed (literally!) yogic space around! To my student- friends, both familiar and new... my most humble Pranams for your beautiful emails, support, encouragement, and for allowing this part of my journey to be possible. I am grateful beyond words to be able to live this life and I lovingly bow down to you all for opening up and sharing your lives and your practice with me.

After the ego, all that's left is LOVE.

LoveLoveLove,

Sanieh

Enchanted

Enchanted1
The pics (ok it's only letting me put one up, I'll add the other next blog) above are from my Sunday excursion visiting Enchanted Rock for the first time. The only thing I forgot was to "chant at Enchanted Rock" (thanks Fran!) - next time ;)

I've been working with revamping one of my big programs through Sanieh Yogaand that has taken a lot of time and consideration. In addition, there are a few changes to my summer teaching schedule but for the most part, I am in a space of BUILDING at this point. With my schedule being pretty set, I plan to build build build, and continue working on my travel teaching schedule (I've got something brewin' possibly taking place late summer or early fall) and start to work on some possible production ideas I've been holding on to for a few years, and of course, becoming one with my music and guitar :)

Some exciting things to look forward too which are in the early, seed stages that I am working on... one in the form of collaboration. More on all of this later!

I will be moving in June and I'm quite excited about that, and the arrival of Spring moving slowly into summer is enough to put an extra skip in anyone's step!

Thank you so much to Mandy (http://mandyeubanks.blogspot.com/) for welcoming me in to share in an offering of Bhakti love and devotion at the end of the Anusara Yoga Session she offered this past Saturday. The connection is being made stronger and stronger with that which breathes me, and breathes us all.... Bhakti yoga has been a very slow but natural unfolding in my experience and with each syllable that is chanted and each work spoken, my heart softens more into what moves through me. So thank you all for your welcoming me, supporting me, and offering kind words. It's a challenge to share something so personal sometimes and I continue to be the student in sitting back and allowing the big echo to move through me in any way it might be heard by the hearts who share in the joy...
